Mike Stonebrook's practice is focused on Intellectual Property litigation. He has experience in all aspects of litigation including claim construction, discovery and preparing matters for trial. In addition to patent litigation, Mike is experienced in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications involving inventions in a variety of technologies including the chemical and mechanical arts, electroluminescent polymers, business methods, medical devices, electrochemistry, and nanotechnology. Mike is also experienced in the preparation of patentability, infringement, and validity opinions.
Mike received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in polymer engineering from the University of Akron. After several years in the plastics industry, Mike received his Juris Doctorate degree from Capital University Law School. Mike has been admitted to practice law in Ohio, the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
When he is not practicing law, Mike enjoys spending time on his motorcycle and with his wife and three daughters.
